The MLS will use the SourceRE MCP to give agents compliant access to Alaska MLS data through AI platforms like ChatGPT and Claude, and the SourceRE Data Marketplace to license its data to approved partners.
ANCHORAGE, AK — November 6, 2026 — Alaska Multiple Listing Service, Inc. (AK MLS), the largest multiple listing service in Alaska, has partnered with SourceRE across two fronts: governed access to its MLS data through artificial intelligence, and managed distribution of that data to vendors and technology partners.
When portals, aggregators, scrapers, and other third parties sit between AI platforms and MLS data, the gap widens, and the MLS loses its ability to enforce its rules, protect its intellectual property rights, and account for how its data is used. The SourceRE MCP replaces that uncontrolled access with a governed, compliant pathway under the control of the MLS, functioning as a single, direct connection between an MLS database and AI platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok.
“Alaska MLS decided to partner with SourceRE to help us get better control of all of the data feeds that access our listings, we also realize that our data is certainly out there in places that it isn’t authorized to be and our members are being disadvantaged by the unauthorized usage. It is our obligation to rein that in, and this partnership will do a great deal to accomplish that.“Mike Smith, CEO Alaska MLS.
Alongside the AI connection, AK MLS is partnering with SourceRE for governed data distribution. Through the SourceRE Data Marketplace, AK MLS can license its data to vendors, PropTech companies, and other approved consumers from a single managed environment, with onboarding, licensing terms, billing, and RESO certified API access handled in one place.
Every feed distributed through SourceRE carries Data Dye™, SourceRE’s proprietary forensic tracking technology, which makes AK MLS data traceable at the source so unauthorized use can be identified and acted on. For an MLS whose data has historically been difficult for outside partners to reach, the marketplace turns that scarcity into a managed channel rather than a barrier.
“Alaska has been one of the harder states for the industry to build on, and AK MLS is choosing to open that door on its own terms rather than leave it to whoever gets there first,” said Andrew Coca, CEO of SourceRE. “They are doing both halves at once, AI and distribution, which is the whole argument we have been making. The governing layer should be the same no matter who is on the other end of the request.”
